The short version

hued has no accounts, no ads, and no third-party trackers. The app never asks for your name, email, location, or anything else that identifies you. The only thing it sends anywhere is anonymous gameplay statistics.

Anonymous gameplay statistics

To understand how the game is played (for example, how often rounds are won at each difficulty), hued records basic gameplay events: a round started, was won, was lost, or was abandoned, along with details of that round such as the palette and number of drops used. Each event carries a random install identifier instead of anything about you. That identifier is generated on your device, is not tied to your Apple Account, and cannot be traced back to you.

These events are encrypted on your device before upload, so only the developer can read them, and they are stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) service. They are never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Your progress and iCloud

Your stats, unlocked palettes, and games in progress are stored on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account so they follow you between your devices. That data lives in your private iCloud database. The developer cannot see it.

Game Center

Leaderboards are optional and run through Apple's Game Center. If you choose to sign in, Apple handles your Game Center profile and scores under Apple's privacy policy. hued never sees your Game Center account details.

Children

hued collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
