Why hued exists

On a screen, colors mix as light: red, green, and blue add up to white. On a palette, colors mix as pigment, and the results are different. Yellow and blue make green. White softens instead of brightens. Hued is a puzzle built on that second kind of mixing — the kind your hands remember from actual paint.

How the colors work

Hued does not fake the mixing. Drops combine through the Kubelka–Munk model, the same mathematics used to describe how real pigments absorb and scatter light. And every target color is itself mixed from a real recipe of the palette's paints, so a perfect match always exists. The puzzle is never "can this be done" — it is "can you see how".
